Reinventing restoration. Revitalizing vintage.
During one of Nicola's first renovations, she discovered a trove of original Greek Revival fenceposts in an
architectural salvage shop
. While her project had no need for a vintage fence,
Nicola was drawn to their historic charm and saw their decorative potential in a more contemporary setting.

Modern family life stretches and transforms our homes.
Nicola's redesigns can conserve energy, add natural light, wire for connectivity, open up cramped spaces and
utilize new materials.
But Nicola's art is manifest in the ways she preserves or incorporates
well-worn surfaces and enchanting details of disparate places and distant times.

Slate steps eased from a hillside to become a hearth mantel. A burnished pine door glowing at the end of a new hallway.
Salvaged vintage fenceposts on a staircase turn, or crowning custom kitchen cabinetry.

For Nicola, restoring an old home or giving a well-lived patina to new construction is an alchemy of
discovery, imagination, skill and art. All to one end:

a house as exceptional as the family that calls it home.
